The Honorable A. Leon Stanback, Jr. served as Superior Court Judge for the 14th judicial District of the Third Division of the Superior Court, serving Durham County, NC for twenty years, 1989 -2009. For the past two years, he has served as Durham County district attorney. Before becoming a judge, he worked as a North Carolina parole commissioner and in private practice, and served as a Guilford County assistant district attorney. He received his B.S. and Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University.
