Minister Shirley Caesar is known as the “First Lady of Gospel Music”. She is a gospel music singer, songwriter and recording artist. She has received eleven Grammy awards and eighteen Dove Awards. Pastor Caesar was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and has sold 2.2 million albums since 1991.
She is the pastor of Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church in Raleigh, NC. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a graduate of Shaw University with a BS in Business Administration. She has received honorary doctorates from Shaw University and Southeastern University.
